Redmi Note 10 receives MIUI 12.5 in Indonesia as Redmi Note 9 gets it in Russia
The European version of the Redmi Note 10 might still be waiting for that stable MIUI 12.5 update, but that will soon change as the update hits Indonesia. Also, the Redmi Note 9 is getting a stable MIUI 12.5 in Russia after that rollout started in Europe. It’s a limited rollout at the moment to allow Beta preview, and that’ll last for a couple of Days. In the end, in the absence of any bugs, the update will start hitting the public.
Xiaomi started seeding the Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 update globally a couple of days ago and has now extended it to Indonesia models. We expect the European models to join the party in the next few days. Meanwhile, the update is live in Indonesia with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKGIDXM – and weighs in at 473MB. As anticipated, it brings the features of the new MIUI OS to improve system performance and also address some bugs plaguing the device for some time now.
And aside from introducing these fascinating features, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to June 2021 to improve system security and stability. Unfortunately, it failed to fix the third-party launcher and the ugly square chat bubbles issues. Also, the second feature can still be enabled by default, and hence, we have to stick with this method.
As for the Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12.5 update in Russia, the changes aren’t different. But while that Redmi Note 10 is seeding with the June security patch, Redmi Note 9 gets an August 2021 security patch to increase system security and stability.
