Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max HyperOS not happening as the device makes it to the EOL list

Xiaomi is still rolling out the Android 14-based HyperOS upgrade to eligible phones. Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max will not receive the update, as they have just made it to the EOL list.

Xiaomi started rolling out the HyperOS upgrade late last year in China, with some global phones also receiving the upgrade. More phones have received the update globally since the official announcement, and although the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max support was still active during the announcement, the duo will not be receiving the upgrade.

Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max debuted in March 2021. Both phones arrived with Android 11 on top of MIUI 12 and are currently running Android 13 based on MIUI 14. That’s two Android OS updates and three iterations of MIUI, which is the maximum for mid-range phones.

After the Android 13-based MIUI 14 update, Xiaomi moved the phones to quarterly update releases, with the last update arriving in December 2023. The device has now been moved to the EOL (End of Life) list, meaning it will not receive any updates moving forward.

Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max HyperOS

However, only the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max global models have been added to this list, meaning there is a chance we might see a new update for units in other regions, but that’s unlikely. The duo has not received any update for months, and we do not think a new update will be released. We recommend upgrading your device to continue getting updates.

Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max HyperOS update

With the new development, the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max HyperOS update will not be released. We doubt Xiaomi even developed a build for the duo. To continue getting new updates, you should upgrade to a new Redmi phone or switch to a custom ROM, but that means unlocking your bootloader
