Redmi Note 11 5G Android 12 starts seeding with stable MIUI 13 in China

The Redmi Note 11 5G debuted in October 2022, with Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5 in China. It arrived on the international market as Redmi Note 11S pre-installed with exact software, albeit Android 12 and MIUI 13 were widely available. However, it was only time before Xiaomi started seeding the Redmi Note 11 5G Android 12 update, and according to reports, the update has now arrived in China.

Xiaomi is seeding the Redmi Note 11 5G Android 12 update with a stable MIUI 13 build. The update has a version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SGBCNXM and weighs 3.2GB. It comes with all the expected features exclusive to Chinese users, which include protective watermarks for images, a comprehensive anti-fraud protection mechanism, Mi Sans, new Ambient sounds, Crystallization Live wallpapers, and more

Also, the update brings a stable MIUI based on Android 12 and bumps the Android security patch level to April 2022. Supposedly, system security and stability have improved, but you might need to perform a factory reset to fix the laggy build. Users have complained of a slow device after upgrading to MIUI 13, which they confirmed got better after resetting their device.

Nevertheless, if your device works fine after upgrading, there won’t be a need for a factory reset. And if you must do that, we recommend backing up your device before proceeding. For the Redmi Note 11 5G Android 12 update on International units, there’s currently no ETA, but we expect Xiaomi to release the update in the coming weeks.
