According to reports, Redmi Note 7 Android 10 update might start arriving at the end of this month or early May. The update has arrived for a good number of Xiaomi phones, but Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are still stuck on Android Pie. And while we expect the update to arrive with MIUI 12, there seems to be a development as new information surface on the internet.
According to a moderator in the Mi community forum, when asked about the arrival of Redmi Note 7 Android 10 update, confirmed the update to start arriving soon. To be specific, he alleged “April last or May first half”. While the answer might be true, we can’t take away the fact that a Moderator is not an official source of information, and as such, we ask you to take that with a pinch of salt.
We have seen Xiaomi promise update for its phone multiple times and then fail to deliver. The latest situation like that is the Android 10, the company confirmed will start arriving in mid-April for Mi CC9 Pro. Well, we’re in the last few days remaining in April, and the update isn’t dropping yet. If you recur, the company promised Android 10 to start arriving on Mi A3 in mid-February, as expected they failed only to release the update on the last day of the said month.
However, the Redmi Note 7 for sometime now has been running Android 10 beta build in China. The Stable ROM may finally start arriving at least for the Chinese version. Hopefully, the Global units will also get the update, but that will take days and sometimes even weeks.
The bottom line is that Redmi Note 7 Android 10 update will happen. We hope the update will start arriving soon, but if the April and May time frame given by this Moderator fails to materialize, then we will look forward to seeing the update arrive with MIUI 12.
