MIUI updates

Android 10 for Redmi Note 7 Pro released with MIUI 11 beta

It’s been months since we reported about the Redmi Note 7 testing Android 10. And while we’re still waiting for the update to start rolling out to the general public, it’s like the Note 7 Pro has joined in testing Android 10 as well.

Android 10 for Redmi Note 7 Pro

We believe that Redmi Note 7 Pro Android 10 update is arriving for Random users, probably the Beta Team. A picture appeared on the Xiaomi MI community, which we believe is a screenshot from a telegram group. The picture shows all specs of Redmi Note 7 Pro, with the Android version based on Android 10.

From the image, the update is arriving with a build number MIUI 11.20.3.4. It comes with an updated Android Security Patch and now dates 2020-02-01. At this time, we cannot say other changes that are coming along with the update, but we’ll update this post once we do.

However, if you’re part of Redmi Note 7 Pro Beta testers, you will progressively receive the update via OTA, you can as well scan your updater app to be sure. Stable ROM users will receive Redmi Note 7 Pro Android 10 update, but that’ll be when the update has passed the Beta stage.

How to install Google Play services on Chinese Android phone

The Redmi Note 7 Pro debuted early last year running Android Pie. It took the device a few months to reach five million sales, which we believe is the the reason why the company introduced the Redmi Note 8 Pro almost immediately. And while the latter is already receiving Stable Android 10 build, the former just started getting Android 10 beta.

It’s disappointing how Xiaomi releases major updates to the phones. Considering that Redmi Note 9 Pro is about to be released on March 12, there’s no beta time to start rolling out Redmi Note 7 Pro Android 10 update. We continue waiting and hoping the update will start arriving for the public soon.
