Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Android 12-based MIUI 13 update arrives in India
The Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max are the latest devices to start getting the much-anticipated Android 12-based MIUI 13 update. It’s the Indian variants getting a new OS upgrade but limited to select users for preview.
It has been months since Xiaomi released the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for the Global Redmi Note 9 Pro. However, due to a few bugs reported by early adopters and tweaks needed on the Indian ROM, it has taken till now for the update to arrive in that region.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Android 12 update in India is arriving with version numbers MIUI 13.0.1.0 SJWINXM and MIUI 13.0.1.0 SJXINXM, respectively. It weighs 2.6GB and comes with a stable MIUI based on Android 12. The update could only bump the Android security patch level to August 2022 while introducing some features and optimizations.
Of course, you should back up your data before installing the update. There have been reports of issues after installing a cross-section Android upgrade. And although we would recommend waiting for feedback before proceeding, you can use the link below and download it.
