More Xiaomi phones continue to receive the company’s latest Android skin – MIUI 12. A couple of days ago, the update was released for Redmi Note 9 Pro in India, while the global and EEA received a stable MIUI 11 update instead. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9S, which has the same development as the Note 9 Pro, has also bagged the update, and it was expected to start arriving for the Note 9 Pro Max in a few days.
Going by recent reports, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max MIUI 12 update has been released. The update is live in India, but it’s said to be a “beta stable build” As such, only selected users will receive the update, and with their feedback, the general public might start receiving the update in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the update has a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJXINXM. Coming along with it are all the features of MIUI 12, which includes New control center, Floating Windows, DarK Mode 2.0, New camera functions, among others. For the super wallpaper, it can be activated manually using this guide.
Aside from the changes that appeared on the changelog, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max MIUI 12 update also bumped the security patch level, improved system performance, and fixed bugs. To scan for the update, you should head over to System Updates, or follow the download link below.
Meanwhile, flashing the ROM might require an authorized Mi account. If you encounter such, then you should probably wait a few days before initiating the process again.
