Redmi Note 9 Pro starts getting MIUI 12 update in Indonesia

Xiaomi has already released the stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro to limited users in some regions. As we reported yesterday, we expect the update to start arriving for more users in different regions this week. And just as expected, the company has now released the MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 9 Pro in Indonesia.

Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 12 update in Indonesia started arriving this morning with a build number, MIUI 12.0.2.0 QJZIDXM. It comes with all the features of MIUI 12, optimization, and bug fixes. The update also brings an interesting feature, which debuted with the POCO X3 NFC. It’s a new camera mode for scanning documents, and below are other changes, optimization, and fixes that are also arriving with the update.

• New: Swipe down from the upper left corner to open Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open Control center
• Optimization: Control center layout in landscape mode

Dark mode

• Optimization: Brightness and color improvements for wallpapers in Dark mode

System

• Fix: Home screen went black and started flashing after unlocking in some cases
• Updated Android Security Patch to October 2020
• Increased system security

Phone

• Fix: UI elements for accepting calls weren’t displayed in some cases

Lock screen

Fix: Custom signature didn’t appear on the Lock screen

Status bar, Notification shade

• Fix: The status bar wasn’t displayed correctly with color inversion

Camera

• New: A new camera mode for scanning documents

As usual, only a few people will first receive the update to preview the ROM before a public rollout. Nevertheless, you can still head over to System Updates and perform a manual scan or download using the links below. However, the update is a stable beta build and might request authorization. If you encounter such an issue, you’ll have to wait for some days and flash the ROM again.
