The closed beta testing of the MIUI 12 custom skin was concluded just before the Dragon Boat Festival. Both the global and Chinese variants are now getting the stable version of the update, and thus far, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, and Mi 9 have received the update globally. However, more Chinese device has received the update. They include the Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 4G, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Redmi K30 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10, and Mi 10 Pro.
Haven upgraded almost all the devices on the first wave to stable MIUI 12, we expect the second phase of MIUI 12 rollout to commence soon. It seems we now have a time frame in what happens to be a confusing report coming out of Weibo.
According to the report, “MIUI 12 stable version will
be pushed for the first time tomorrow! Some
models of Redmi mobile phones will also be
pushed to the first batch of MIUI12, allowing you to
touch your imagination in advance and feel the
reality!
Leave a comment in the comment area, and
boldly predict which Redmi models will be the first
to push MIUI12!”
Considering that the company has completed the first wave of the rollout, it could be that the second phase of MIUI 12 rollout is about to commence. But then, it’s hard to differentiate Xiaomi’s MIUI beta build from the stable version. Hence, it could be that Xiaomi has been rolling out the Beta version of MIUI 12 and is about to start rolling out the stable build.
Also, it is stated clearly in the report that the rollout, which will commence today, will be the stable version of MIUI 12. However, “some models of Redmi mobile phones will also be pushed to the first batch of MIUI 12”. That hints to the second phase of MIUI 12 rollout, and if that’s true, we expect Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 and other Redmi phones to start getting the update from today.
