[Update: December 13]Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite starts pushing stable MIUI 12.5 update

With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi promised to address the issues that have been facing its Android skin. The update is now rolling out and has since for to handful of eligible phones. It did improve their performance while introducing the features baked inside the MIUI 12.5, but some problems have persisted. That’ll probably get a fix in subsequent builds, but from what we know, the MIUI 12.5 update for Mi Note 10 Lite is free from bugs. 

The update, as usual, is exclusive to Mi Pilots, having been tagged Stable Beta. However, that will soon change to “Stable” for the public to start receiving the new update. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RFNMIXM – and weighs in at 957MB. We recommend that you download over a Wi-Fi and make sure you have enough space on your device before downloading the update.

As expected, the update has improved performance, and with 20x more rendering power, your screen experience will improve. Response to gestures is now instant, while MIUI has become faster, lighter, and smoother. Also, the Android security patch level is now up to May 2021 to increase system security and stability. Unfortunately, the issue of third-party launchers not working is still there, and hence, you’ll have to continue using system launcher.

For now, only the global stable ROM users are receiving this update in a select manner. After the preview period that lasts for a couple of days, the public rollout will commence. That’ll also see the update extend to other regions and you can stay updated via our tracker page.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 has been released in Europe. The update is available as MIUI 12.5.5.0 RFNEUXM. It weighs 856MB and has introduced all the expected features. After a long wait, a update for Mi note 10 Lite starts seeding globally. The update is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RFNMIXM. Surprisingly, it is coming with June security patch as per the change log, but we think is actually the July patch. It has also fixed some bugs and improved performance. The stable MIUI 12.5 update has now arrived in Russia. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RFNRUXM – and weighs in at 1.05GB. As expected, it comes with the features of the new MIUI OS to improve system performance and address bugs.
