Xiaomi is currently rolling out a new Redmi K40s update. The device is getting theJune 2022 security patch alongside Mi Smart Hub, which has revamped the Control center for easy integration.
When Xiaomi announced MIUI 13 last year, the company revealed its plans for a seamless connection between all its devices. With the Mi Smart Hub, you will be able to transfer audio and video playbacks to connected devices. Also, you can use the function for file transfer using the drag and drop method. Unfortunately, third-party smartphone phones are not supported as the feature remains exclusive to Xiaomi and Redmi devices.
Devices that support Mi Smart Hub
- Xiaomi and Redmi Notebooks
- Xiaomi Tablets
- Xiaomi Television
- Select Xiaomi and Redmi phones
If your device supports the function, you will see the Mi Smart Hub section when you reveal the control panel. To connect your compatible devices, you should tap on the quick setting (Mi Smart Hub). Of course, your Bluetooth should be active and possibly connect all the devices to the same Wi-Fi network. Also, your device should have the latest version of MIUI+.
Meanwhile, the new Redmi K40s update has bumped the Android security patch level to June 2022. Supposedly, that has increased system security and stability while optimizing performance. A few time spent on the device after the upgrade shows improvement in the Haptics Motor.
As always, the update is on a limited rollout, but we expect a full release in the coming days. Nevertheless, you can use the link below to download and install manually.
