It took only a few minutes after the Global rollout for Xiaomi to release the Redmi 8A MIUI 12.5 update in Europe. Both are limited rollouts to allow time for Beta Testers to preview the ROM, which will last for a couple of days. But given the smooth deployment since Xiaomi started pushing the update, we expect the public release in the coming days. However, if you have the right tools, you can download the update via the links below.
While that Redmi 8A MIUI 12.5 update in Europe has been tagged Stable Beta, which means only beta testers are receiving the update, you can still get it. Head over to the updater app and click on the three dots at the top right. Click on update settings and enable ‘receive updates early.’ After that, you should go back and tap on your current device’s MIUI version multiple times until the update shows up.
The update has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 QCPEUXM – and weighs in at 631MB. It brings the features of the new MIUI OS, which include instant response to gestures. It has revamped the control center and notification panel, making it possible to reply to messages seamlessly without opening the app. The update also bumped the Android security patch level to July 2021 to increase system security and stability.
Again, the Redmi 8A MIUI 12.5 update in Europe is a limited rollout. We expect a wider rollout in the coming days, and that will also see the rollout arrive in more regions. However, if you run the global ROM, you can download the build via the links below if you have an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP recovery installed.
