The stable MIUI 12.5 update has already arrived on a bunch of eligible devices, both globally and in China. But despite that, the rollout is far from completion as more devices continue to receive that new MIUI OS. As expected, the Mi 10 Lite MIUI 12.5 update has been released for international models. That was anticipated after the Mi 10 Youth / Zoom bagged the update in China a couple of weeks ago. However, the update is on a limited rollout and will only arrive for select users.

With MIUI 12.5, the response to gestures is now instant. And with custom device model adjustments, your Mi 10 Lite becomes faster after the upgrade. The log also says that MIUI now has 20x more rendering power to improve the display performance, and with the few optimization on MIUI, it is now faster, lighter, and smoother. The Mi 10 Lite MIUI 12.5 update has bumped the Android security patch level to May 2021 to increase system security and stability while fixing some bugs. However, the issue with third-party launchers has persisted, and hence, you will have to stick with the system launcher. 

Aside from the changes on the log, it’s now possible to uninstall some system apps. Also, power consumption and background memory usage have been reduced by about 25% to improve the overall performance. The Note app has been overhauled, and there’s now much you can do with the app. Check for the MIUI 12.5 changes here. 

Again, the update is a limited rollout, but if you have an authorized Mi beta account or TWRP recovery installed, you can download the ROM via the link below. Otherwise, you should wait for the public release. If everything goes as planned, it will arrive in the next few days.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite is receiving its second MIUI 12.5 build globally. Finally, the update will be available for more users. It is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJMIXM – and bumps the Android security patch level to June 2021. The update is now available in Taiwan for the Mi 10 Lite. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJMTWXM – and brings the features of the new MIUI OS.
