Xiaomi, as expected, has officially announced the Mi 10 Ultra in a virtual event to commemorate its tenth anniversary. The device shows how far the Chinese OEM has come in the last ten years.
The Mi 10 Ultra is the latest premium offering from the company, and it comes with the company’s first and the industry in general. First off, it features a 120W charging solution and will be the first phone to commercially debut the tech. Also, it supports 55W wireless charging, and according to the company, will fully charge the 4500mAh battery in 40 minutes. The device supports 10W reversible charging for juicing up your wearable.
Aside from the power prowess, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the new camera King, according to DXOMark. The device received a mean score of 130, which is the highest the company has assigned to any device. Behind the score is a primary 48MP 1/1.32″ sensor with f/1.85 aperture lens and OIS. It’s flanked by a 48MP 1/2.0″ periscope lens capable of 5x optical zoom and 120x hybrid zoom, both with support for 8K video recording. Completing the Quad arrangement is a 20MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 12MP telephoto snapper with 2x optical zoom.
Around the front panel is a 6.67-inch OLED screen with curved edges. At the top left is a punch hole for the 20MP camera snapper and an improved under-screen fingerprint reader underneath. Meanwhile, the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The HDR10+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio panel can reach 800nits brightness and still maintain accurate colors.
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 865 Octa-Core processor, paired with up to 16GB LDDPR5 RAM. It’s probably the reason behind the over 660,000 AnTuTu, which is currently the highest for any smartphone. Of course, the device runs stable MIUI 12 based on Android 10 outside-of-the-box.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra also features a LiquidCool 2.0 vapor chamber foe optimal dissipation of heat, alongside a six stacked graphite layer. That’s very necessary considering the amount of heat that’ll be generated because of the ultra-fast charging solution.
