The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G MIUI 12.5 update is the latest release for Global users. It has been a busy past few days with the Chinese deployment as multiple devices have received the update. It first started seeding for the Redmi Note 8 Pro along with Android 11. Shortly after that, the Mi 8 bagged the update as well as Mi Max 3 and Mi 8 Lite. Surprisingly, the Redmi 7 that was a doubt for MIUI 12 has received the MIUI 12.5 update in China while global models are languishing in MIUI 11. Hopefully, Xiaomi extends the rollout to the global models, having started seeding it for the Mi 11 Lite 4G.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G MIUI 12.5 update is on a limited rollout to allow few users to preview it for bugs. After the beta preview for a couple of days, the update will be released to the public. That’s if no performance-threatening bug is detected, but that’s unlikely as we haven’t seen any. And from feedback, the update has improved system performance and addressed some of the bugs. However, you won’t still use third-party launchers while that ugly square chat bubbles and floating windows notification bugs are still there. However, the Android security patch level has been bumped to May 2021 to increase system security and stability.

Xiaomi has started pushing the MIUI 12.5 update to the Mi 11 Lite in Indonesia. The update brings the features of the new MIUI OS while pushing the Android security patch level to June 2021 to increase system security. The Russia variants are now getting the latest iteration of MIUI. It has improved the device performance and fixed some bug affecting the system. The MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKQRUXM has revamped that Note App, fixed issues of the notification freezing and not displayed correctly on landscape.
