Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G Android 12 beta update released in China
Google officially presented the stable Android 12 a couple of days ago. They’re yet to start pushing the build to Pixel owners. We expect that to start after the unveiling of the Pixel 6 series, which is scheduled for October 19. Meanwhile, we have seen developers release Android 12-based custom ROMs while Xiaomi has commenced the deployment. It’s still a beta test at the moment, which has been extended to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G in China.
Xiaomi commenced the Android 12 beta test a couple of months ago. The test started after Google release the Android 12 beta 1 build. Since then, a handful of Xiaomi phones have picked up the update as a beta build. As expected, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G Android 12 beta update has been released in China. It’s the closed beta groups that are getting the build. Hopefully, it won’t be long till the stable release starts seeding for the public.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G Android 12 beta build is arriving with the currently released closed beta update. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5 V21.10.11. According to the update log, it brings “many optimization and improvements.” However, it will be difficult to notice some of these changes, given the presence of MIUI.
Meanwhile, before downloading the current closed beta build on your Mi 11 Lite 5G, we recommend you make a backup of your data. Early adopters reported series of bug, which most times requires a factory reset to fix. That way, you would be able to restore your data after performing a factory reset.
