[Update: September 13] Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition arrives in India for Mi 11X

That’s typical Xiaomi for you. The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is supposed to start seeding outside of China from Q4 2021. Of course, we’re still in Q3, but the international phones have started receiving the update, which is in line with our early report. Perhaps, there has been a change of plans from the official announcement, and we expected that. Those using the Xiaomi Mi 11X are now getting the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition in India.

The Xiaomi Mi 11X MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is based on Android 11. It will take some time before it starts pushing Android 12, perhaps after the stable version is released. We expect that this year, given that the Chinese closed beta channel has received the update. And while the wait is on, Xiaomi has just ended that of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition as the update has reached Mi Pilots. They’ll test the build for some time before it starts rolling out to the public.

The update brings improvements for swift performance. Essentially, it works on reducing power consumption to give more life between the charges. It does that by introducing the Focused Algorithm, which automatically allocates resources based on the scene. Atomized memory will improve the use of RAM, while the New Liquid Storage will keep your device vibrant over time. You can learn about the changes here. 

Also seeding with the Xiaomi Mi 11X MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition are bug fixes and optimizations. It’s now possible to use the fingerprint and face ID to unlock the device simultaneously, which crashes before in some cases. Lock screen notification disappearing after a call has been fixed and cleaner animation, not displaying correctly.
