Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite MIUI 12.5 update released in China

Xiaomi is expected to announce the next iteration of its MIUI Android skin in August 2021, according to recent reports. It was one of the executives of the MIUI Pioneer Group that broke the news on Weibo. According to him, the update will optimize performance to address some of the bugs plaguing MIUI. And while MIUI 13 development is underway, the company is still rolling out the current version – MIUI 12.5. They are currently rolling out the update to the Mi 8 Lite in China but on a limited rollout.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite MIUI 12.5 update is arriving with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 QDTCNXM. As expected, it brings features of the new MIUI, which are essentially an improvement to the system. Some of these improvements include instant response to gestures and 20 times more rendering power. There’s a custom device model adjustment to make your device faster after the upgrade, and with the extra optimization made on the system, your device becomes faster, smoother, and lighter. Also, improvements have been made on-device security, new features added to the Xiaomi Mi Cloud, new system sounds, and more

Again, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite MIUI 12.5 update is on a limited rollout in China. It will take about two weeks to start seeding to the Global models before making its way to Europe, Russia, and Indonesia.
