Xiaomi is expected to introduce the next iteration of MIUI in August. The new MIUI OS will debut alongside Mi Mix 4 but won’t run the software outside of the box. Perhaps, the latest developments are the reason it seems Xiaomi has improved the speed of deployment. Also, the Chinese closed beta testers are allegedly receiving the MIUI 13 beta update, and hence, we expect the MIUI 12.5 rollout to be in full swing. And yesterday, we saw the POCO X3 Pro in India, Mi 11 Lite 4G in Europe, and Mi 11i receiving the update globally. As expected, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro MIUI 12.5 update in Europe has also been released.
As usual, the update is seeding for select users pending the outcome of the preview. Once that’s done with, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro MIUI 12.5 update in Europe will start seeding for everyone. It will arrive with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKFEUXM – in a 2.5GB package. The update is coming along with features of the new MIUI OS and has improved system performance. As suggested by the changelog, responses to gestures are instant now, while there has been about a 25% reduction in power and background memory usage. Note app has been revamped while the Android security patch level is June 2021 to increase system security and stability.
Meanwhile, the update didn’t fix the third-party launcher compatibility problem and the square chat bubbles. Hopefully, a new update comes in the future that’ll address it, or perhaps, MIUI 13. Also, there are situations where the phone starts lagging, the battery drains. For the latter, you should give the device time to adjust.
