The two phones run Snapdragon 665, which is likely the reason while they are receiving a new update almost at the same time. But while Mi CC9e is getting Android 10, Xiaomi Mi A3 latest stable update is still based on Android Pie.

Meanwhile, the update started arriving in the early hours of today with a build number, Global Stable V10.3.9.0 PFQMIXM. The update didn’t bring many improvements. However, it has updated the Android Security Patch, which now dates October, 2019.

the update didn’t come with Android 10 and just a few improvements, it might be wise to wait for the next update, which is likely to arrive next month. And since the Mi CC9e is already receiving Android 10, the next update will surely bring the latest OS to Mi A3.

However, you can still check for the Global Stable V10.3.9.0 PFQMIXM if you don’t mind, by simply navigating to settings> about phone> system update and check for the update. And if the update is not there yet, exercise some patience as its normal for OTA to experience a delay before making it to all compatible devices.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 debuted with a 6.08-inch AMOLED display of 720p resolution. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a notch for the selfie camera. At the back is three camera sensors while the battery is 4030mAh and supports Quick Charge via USB-C port. Check out the full specs of the device here.
