Xiaomi Mi CC9e debuts with Snapdragon 665

Xiaomi becomes the first smartphone brand to debut a device running Snapdragon 665 Octa-core processor. The SoC implements 4 Kryo 260 cores at 2.0GHz and 4 Kryo 260 cores at 1.8GHz for enhanced operation compare to the predecessor. It’s paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM, with an option for expansion using MicroSD to achieve extra 256GB.

The Mi CC9e, meanwhile, measures 6.08-inch diagonally. It’s an AMOLED screen supplied by Samsung with FD+ (1569 x 720p), and underneath is a seventh gen in-display fingerprint scanner, similar to that on Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. The display has 102.7% NTSC color gamut, while Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used to offer extra protection against scratch.

The camera department features what we’ve seen on almost every Xiaomi device in 2019. The arrangement consists of a 48MP f/1.79 aperture lens with EIS, paired with 8MP 118° ultra-wide angle and a 2MP depth effect sensor. Interesting is the 32MP front selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture, which is basically a 12MP selfie with large 1.6um pixel lens.

Xiaomi Mi CC9e supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The battery capacity is 3940mAh and supports 10W fast charging (Quick Charge 3.0) via USB-C port.

The device will be available in White Lover, Blue Planet, and Dark Piano color options. For pricing, Mi CC9e starts from CNY 1,299 ($189) for the 4/64GB memory variant, 1,399 ($203) for 6/64GB, and 6/128GB for 1,599 ($232). Buyers will be able to buy the device in China from July 9th.
