Qualcomm reached a milestone with the unveiling of the Snapdragon 865 Octa-Core processor. From peak performance, through lifelike graphics rendering, to 5G connectivity, and enhanced battery performance.
The SD 865 makes use of 585 architecture with a 25% improved performance over the predecessor. There’s a new Adreno 650 GPU for great visuals and support for up to 144Hz screen refresh rate.
We have seen the first Xiaomi phones with Snapdragon 865 processor debut with a 108MP camera lens. Meanwhile, the processor can house up to 200MP module with the Spectra 480 ISP. Also, the SoC has a sperate chip for the Qualcomm X55 modem, which covers both 4G and 5GB connectivity.
Xiaomi phones with Snapdragon 865 processor are Wi-Fi 6 compatible and also comes with the 5Th generation AI with the help of Hexagon 698 and Tensor accelerator.

Xiaomi MI 10 Pro
Xiaomi MI 10 Pro is the first Xiaomi phone to debut Snapdragon 865 along with the regular variant. It sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED Display with 90Hz fluid rate and 280Hz touch sensing. There’s also an in-display scanner, a single 20MP selfie snapper, all under the protection of a Gorilla Glass 5.
At the back is a Quad primary 108MP lens, accompanied by a dual 20MP + 12MP telephoto lens and a 20MP ultra-wide angle lens. The SD 865 is paired with up to 12GB RAM for seamless multitasking coupled with Adreno 650GPU for great visuals.
The device draws power from a 4500mAh battery with 50W fast charging, and outside the box is Android 10 on top MIUI 11.
Xiaomi MI 10
Xiaomi MI 10 is the regular version of the Pro variant. It has a bigger battery, and the price is even more affordable. The design is also not different from the Pro variant but a few downgrades on the camera and charging speed.
Well, if you just want to play games, take a decent shot and top up at a reasonable time, then save a few bucks by going for the Mi 10. Besides, the camera arrangement has a primary 108MP lens and a 30W fast charge, arguably enough for the price.
Redmi K30 Pro
Redmi K30 Pro is a better option to the Mi 10, if performance is what you seek. It has the same 6.67-inch with the latter but had to settle with a 64MP snapper instead. However, it’s still a Quad arrangement and with the introduction of a telephoto lens, it will take nice shots.
The device makes use of speedy LDDPR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 4700mAh battery capacity that supports 33W fast charging. Outside the box is Android 10 based on MIUI 11. Check the full specs here
POCO F2 Pro
The POCO F2 Pro is the next in our list of Xiaomi phones with Snapdragon 865 processor. Like the predecessor, it’s the most affordable smartphone with Qualcomm highest performing SoC. The processor has paired with LDDPR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for high-speed read and write.
The screen is a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. It has the fingerprint underneath and maximum protection by Corning Gorilla Glass 5; front and back. The camera follows the current trend of a Quad arrangement, with a primary 64MP Sony IMX 686 lens. It uses a motorized pop-up for the selfie camera while the battery capacity has been increased to 4700mAh.
Outside-of-the-box, the device runs Android 10 on top MIUI 11. It will be among the early adopters of MIUI 12. You can get a deal here for just $455.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the most powerful Android phone at the moment, thanks to the Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM. It’s also the best camera smartphone, according to DXOMARK rating, with a mean score of 130.
The screen measures 6.67-inch. It’s an AMOLED panel and refreshes at 120Hz, with up to 800nits brightness. The fingerprint scanner sits under the display while the battery capacity is 4500mAh. Charging the device takes just 23 minutes, thanks to the 120W charge, and unfortunately, it runs Android 10 based on MIUI 12. You can read the full specs here.
Xiaomi Mi 10T
The best part of the device is the adaptive 6.67-inch display. It has been designed to automatically switch between 144Hz to 30Hz depending on the screen content.
Under the hood is Snapdragon 865 paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (non-expandable). The battery capacity is 5000mAh and tops up at a speed of 33W.
