Xiaomi debuted the Redmi K30 Pro in China early this device. The device made its international debut under the POCO sub-brand and is dubbed POCO F2 Pro. It’s one of the most affordable Snapdragon 865-powered phones with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory. On the software side is Android 10 based on MIUI 11, but that has changed now.
The Redmi K30 Pro is now receiving a stable MIUI 12 update in China. It’s arriving with a build number MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJKCNXM and weighs in at 1006MB. Arriving with the update is New System Animation, Floating Window, Super Wallpaper, Advanced Security Features, Calling Features, Dark Mode 2.0, and other more.
As usual, the update will be released in batch, and that’s to contain any damage should there be a serious issue with the build like what we witnessed with the Android 10 rollout on Mi A2 Lite. The update once confirmed safe will then be released for the general public, which is probably in a few days from now.
Nevertheless, you can still check for a new update through the Updater app and see if you have got any. As for when the Global unit will start receiving the new MIUI 12 Stable update, it’s believed to be in the coming days. However, that’s going to be a public rollout. Xiaomi has already pushed a Stable Beta update to the global users of Mi 9, Xiaomi Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro.
Meanwhile, an official report from Mi community forum, claims that the update is currently suspended for Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8. The reason is that the former has a stability issue while the latter is adapting to Android 10.
Going by the report, the Redmi Note 8 will get the Android 10 in the coming weeks before the MIUI 12 update. And since the Mi CC9E is currently testing Beta ROM for Android 10, that of Redmi Note 8 is imminent as both devices have similar development and have been in closed testing.
