Apple adds a Yellow color to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus lineup

The iPhone 14 series are off to a good start as they’ve started garnering sales and breaking market records. The smartphone debuted months ago with the A16 Bionic on the Pro variants and the peculiar pill-shaped cutout among other features. Well, Apple is adding a yellow color option to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus lineup.

The glass back panel of the new model is an incredibly vivid yellow that looks halfway between the light yellow of the iPhone 11 and the deep yellow of the iPhone XR. In contrast to the light gold of the iPhone XR, the aluminum frame has the same bright yellow-gold hue as the iPhone 11 model.

The new hue will not be available on Pro models like it was last year. Instead, it joins the current five hues available on the basic iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models, which include midnight, starlight, (PRODUCT) RED, blue, and purple. Offering a yellow option for the iPhone 14 and the Plus will boost the sales a little further in that people can pick from another colour option.

There are no technical differences between this model and the others from the new color. Apple also revealed four new silicone case colors for all four iPhone 14 models. Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky, and Iris are examples of these colors. They are available for $49 apiece. Pre-orders for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in yellow will begin on March 10 at 5:00 a.m. PST. The new case colors are now available for purchase.
