POCO Community app v1.0.0 has been released and you can now download via the link below…

POCO came to light with the Pocophone F1, which they released as a Xiaomi sub-brand in 2018. The company has added lots of other phones to its stable since gaining independence early this year. Meanwhile, throughout the year, they have been on Xiaomi supply change. Most POCO phones we have seen this year are rebranded Redmi phones, and they debut running MIUI –Xiaomi’s in-house Android skin. It shows the company still depends heavily on Xiaomi, even though they announced after the unveiling of the POCO M3, they’ve gained full autonomy.

However, they’ve to start from somewhere if they want to be truly independent. An effort has been made so far with the unveiling of POCO M3, which is the first non-rebadged Redmi phone. Now, the POCO community forum has gone live. Just like the Mi community, POCO fans will get exclusive news about Poco products, upcoming products, smartphones, launches, and more. They will find useful tutorials on the forum about how to customize their phones and general discussion.

You can join the POCO Community forum by heading to this link. Surprisingly, you don’t need to create a new account if you already have a Mi account. Also, when you try to create a new account, it takes you to the “Create Mi Account” page. We thought the brand wanted to do everything on their own, but this development shows it still depends heavily on the parent company, Xiaomi.

Meanwhile, the POCO community forum app seems not ready yet. There’s no sign of the app anywhere on the forum, and even a quick search on the Google play store didn’t return any useful result. Surely it will be hard to keep up with the forum as you would have to use a browser. However, we expect the app to arrive very soon, and we will be on the lookout to update this space once that happens.

Update: 8/03/2021

The first version of the POCO community app has been released. It has a version number – V1.0.0 and weighs in at 15MB. You can download the app here.
