Adding to the already existing tweaks and updates to the software both on Android and Wear OS, YouTube Music gets another interesting feature. The feature is giving users a Spring Recap ’22.
As YouTube Music gets another interesting feature, the tweak was noticed by a few users, and the fullscreen page dedicated to the feature is tagged “Your Recap”. This is proposing that it might be a seasonal occurrence or even common and not just at the year’s end, a play button is included for the playlist.
Below the fullscreen page is a swipeable carousel comprising six stats pages which can be shared to another device and can be saved as well. Furthermore, Each stat page is labelled “Recap” at the top right corner and the tweak is optimized for social media and stories giving it a potential for viralness. The cards are listed below:
- Spring: which is a summary entailing the top artist and song as well as total time listened
- Top spring albums – 5
- Top spring artist – 5
- Top spring songs – Top 5
- Top spring genre – 3
- Top spring playlist – Just one.
“YouTube Music gets another interesting feature” is being advertised with a “Spring Recap is here” on the Home feed. However, some users can access this feature by navigating to their avatar at the top right corner and then clicking on 2021 recap. The aim of this is to allow users to replay their top music and stats of the spring. The rollout is a gradual process and if you haven’t seen the Spring Recap “22, then you should be patient.
