There have been a series of changes since the stable MIUI 12 started rolling out. Before now, after the Chinese rollout, the global variants are always next in line for that particular update, but that’s no longer the case at the moment.
Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India early this year and later introduced an upgraded version to the global market as Redmi Note 9S. The device has already bagged the stable MIUI 12 update in Turkey, while other regions can only wait. And now, the company has released a stable MIUI 12 for the Redmi Note 9S in Russia.
The update is arriving with a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJWRUXM, and will progressively appear on all eligible devices. It comes with all the features of MIUI 12, which include Floating Windows, Dark Mode 2.0, Revamped UI, New System Animation, and New Camera Functions. Also, it introduced a new control center, but that requires a manual activation as well as the super wallpaper function.
The update also bumped the security patch, improved system security, and fixed bugs. To check for the stable MIUI 12 for the Redmi 9S, head over to System Updates or follow the download link below and get the recovery ROM. We expect the Global version to start getting the update towards the month-end. We’ll also be on the lookout in case there’s any change in plan.
