With so many Xiaomi phones yet to start receiving the MIUI 12 update for the first time, it hasn’t stopped developers from rolling out fresh MIUI 12 updates to those phones that have already received the update. A typical example of such a phone is the Redmi Note 9S, which has long bagged the MIUI 12 build and is now receiving a subsequent build.
The new stable Redmi Note 9S update, however, is for the EEA models. It has a version number, MIUI 12.0.2.0 QJWEUXM, and will progressively appear on all eligible units over the next few days. The update has optimized the system performance and also improved system security and stability as per the changelog. It has also fixed some minor bugs.
The update is coming in a 344MB package, but expect a bigger sized update if you will be receiving the MIUI 12 update on your Redmi Note 9S for the first time. But as usual, with all OTAs, it will take some time before making its way to all devices, and you should exercise patience. However, there’s an option for you to download the ROM manually using the links below and then use the recovery ROM method to flash on your device.
