After months of no update, Xiaomi is currently pushing a new stable update for POCO F1. The update started arriving a couple of minutes ago, and as such, would take some time before hitting your device. But while you wait on the arrival, let us bring you up to speed with the changes it’ll arrive alongside the update.

Xiaomi, in recent times, has slowed down the pace at which it rolls out updates to the POCO F1. That’s normal, though, considering that the device has been around for 28 months. The support was always going to drop, and it has now. And after three months since the last build was released, a new stable update for POCO F1 is being pushed over the air, which as per the changelog, brings the October security patch and improved system security.

From the feedback we got from those that have installed the new update, the security patch level is dated December 2020 and not October. The build is also safe as per feedback and comes in a massive 2.0GB package, with a version number MIUI 12.0.3.0 QEJMIXM. As usual, only selected users will receive the update for now, but we expect the public rollout to commence in the coming days.

Nevertheless, we have added a link below this post, from where you can download the Recovery or OTA ROM. And because it’s a limited rollout, for now, you might receive an error message. In that situation, you need to give it some days or wait for the OTA.
