Details of the new AppleCare Plus Plans

Previously, the AppleCare Plus Plans cover two incidents within 12 months of coverage, but now, users get unlimited incident cover when on the same 12 months of coverage. While some may consider this as not interesting, it is worth noting that the brand doesn’t add any extra charge whatsoever for this development.

Adding to the one-year warranty on Apple products, the AppleCare Plus Plans service offer to fix your phone should it fall and get damaged or anything happens to it or better still replace it if the issue can’t be fixed, manufacturer defects included. There’s also the Theft and Loss Plan that extends the replacement coverage to when the phone is misplaced as well.

Here’s a breakdown of the service fee in addition to the AppleCare Plus Plans: if your phone’s screen or back glass gets damaged, you will have to pay a $29 service fee for repair, anything outside that will extend the fee to $99. Should your phone get stolen or misplaced, you will have to pay $149.

The fix or replacement can be carried out in an Apple Store close to you and your issue is given the attention it needs that same day. However, if you don’t want to get a repair at the store, a new device can be mailed to you. Depending on your Apple device, the Apple Care Plus Plans can go from $79 to $199 for a two-year plan. With Theft and Loss, the range is from $149 to $269.
