Global Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9S MIUI 12.5 update status. Check below…
It’s becoming frustrating for global Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9S users. Both devices are eligible for MIUI 12.5 and even MIUI 13, but it’s taking forever for the update to arrive on global variants. Xiaomi first sent out the build to users in Europe, hinting at an imminent arrival on Global models. Instead, the company extended the rollout to Turkey, Indonesia, Russia, and India. All this while, the global users have been waiting. However, it looks likely that the update will start seeding this month.
The Global Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9S MIUI 12.5 have been delayed due to a bug. Before MIUI 12.5 started seeding in Europe, some devices were stuck on Mi Logo after upgrading to stable MIUI 12.0.4.0 RJZMIXM. Affected regions were India and Global, but the former has already bagged the update, which has been released to the public. For the global models, perhaps there is more polishing needed before the build is released. Nevertheless, we expect the global deployment to start soon since the issue has been supposedly fixed. And given how long it has taken, and with the company now turning focus to Enhanced Version of MIUI 12.5, both devices might start receiving the build at the same time.
Unfortunately, there’s no tentative ETA for the build to start rolling out, but we are optimistic it will start seeding this month. Hence, make sure your device is on the latest version for a seamless upgrade to MIUI 12.5 when it becomes available. Meanwhile, if you’re running a ROM version other than the global variants, you might need to check out the tracker and see if the update has arrived for your device.
