The attention is slowly moving to Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5, which is now likely to arrive for devices that received the MIUI 12.5. That puts the Redmi Note 9S in line to receive the build, but some regions are yet to receive the initial release. The global Redmi Note 9S users are among the people waiting for the update, but that seems to have changed now. According to a recent report, the global Redmi Note 9S MIUI 12.5 update has been released.

The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJWMIXM – and weighs in at 751MB. It brings all the anticipated features, which include instant response to gestures, more rendering power, new custom device model, optimization, reduced power consumption, and background memory usage. Aside from that change, the build has addressed some issues and bumped the Android security patch level to increase system security and stability.

However, it didn’t address the third-party launcher compatibility issues nor did it correct the square chat bubbles. It also revokes all apps’ permission, meaning you have to grant permission after upgrading to MIUI 12.5. Interestingly, the global Redmi Note 9S MIUI 12.5 update has revamped the control center and notification panel. It’s now possible to reply to messages seamlessly without opening the app.
