Stable MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 9 SE available for European models. Download below…
Xiaomi keeps surprising us, especially when it comes to rolling out updates. A few months back, we were hoping for MIUI 13, but the company released MIUI 12.5 instead. They’ve since started deploying the update in Chinese and global users, but surprisingly, some devices not on the first batch to receive the update are now getting it. One such device is the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, which is now getting the MIUI 12.5 stable globally.
The global stable MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 9 SE is on a limited rollout. For now, only select users are receiving the update to preview it for bugs before the developers start pushing it to the public. The update comes as MIUI 12.5.1.0 RFBMIXM and weighs in at 2.4GB.
With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi has improved the performance of MIUI and addressed bugs facing the system. The update has made it possible to uninstall some system apps and has reduced power consumption and background memory usage to about 25%. Of course, there are lots of other features that arrived with the update, which you can check out via this link. Also, it brings the much-anticipated Android 11, which is long overdue.
Again, the update is exclusive to Mi Pilots and will take some time before it becomes available to the public. However, you can install the ROM with a compatible TWRP Recovery or an authorized Mi Beta account. Aside from either of the two options, you’ll have to wait for the public rollout of the global stable MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 9 SE. You can follow our tracker page to know when the update becomes available in your region.

Two weeks later and the global 12.5 still isn’t rolling out for the MI 9 SE, although your article headline suggests otherwise. And no, a downloadable beta that you need to flash manually and which will block you from any further OTA updates is not the same as the global stable ROM being “available”. So I’d appreciate if you’d refrain from clickbaiting and rely on actual content to monetize your blog. Thanks!
Just wait for the update…
