More Xiaomi phones continue to receive the stable MIUI 12 update. A few hours ago, the Mi 8 Lite bagged the much-anticipated update, and now, the global stable MIUI 12 update for the Mi Note 3 has been released. It’s not the first time the update started rolling out for these devices. The Chinese models already received the update a couple of months, and luckily, the global users are now receiving it as well.
Surprisingly, it seems the update is a beta build. It has got just two changes in the changelog, which are “increased system stability and reduced system lag.” But aside from the few changes that appeared on the changelog, the update also came along with all the features of MIUI 12. It has bumped the security patch level while fixing some minor bugs.
Unfortunately, the global stable MIUI 12 update for the Mi Note 3 is based on Android 9. But that was expected. The device has already picked up two OS updates: Android 8.1 and 9, which is the maximum support offered by Xiaomi.
Luckily, the company has integrated some of the Android 10/11 features into the MIUI 12. With that said, you will get some of these features after upgrading your device to MIUI 12. To get started, head over to System Updates and scan for the latest update, or follow our download link below.
Meanwhile, the update is coming with a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 PCHMIXM, and weighs in at 938MB. As usual, it’s being sent out in batches, but you can always upgrade using the links below.
