Huawei Mate 20 Lite is the first to debut from Mate 20 series. The device is already up for pre-order in Poland and Germany due to the numbers achieved by the predecessor – Huawei Mate 10 Lite on sales.
Huawei Mate 20 Lite sports a tall 6.3-LCD 19.5: 9-panel notch display, covering up to 81% of the front panel. It features 1080 x 2240px resolution onboard 409PPI for exquisite details. Under the helm is Kirin 710 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and coupled with 64GB internal memory storage, expandable with micro SD card.
In the camera department is a total of 4 sensors. The rear system comprises of dual 20MP f/1.8 aperture accompanied by 2MP sun shooter for depth effect. On the front notch comes also a dual 24MP snapper coupled with a 2MP sub shooter.
Huawei Mate 20 Lite comes with 3750mAh battery and charges through Type-C USB cable while support 18W fast charging. Out of the box, it will run Android 8.1 ontop EMUI 8.1.

Unsurprisingly, there is a notch on a tall 6.3-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio panel. Huawei Mate 20 Lite features 1080 x 2240px resolution onboard 409PPI to deliver vivid and colorful details. The display covers almost 81% of the front panel while supporting over 16m colors and multitouch function. It’s protected with unidentified 2.5D glass, which under it, the screen display exquisite images.
Performance
Behind the brain-box is new Hisilicon Kirin 710 SoC on par with Snapdragon 710 Octa-core processor. The SoC is paired with 4GB RAM coupled and Mali-G54 MP4 for high-speed performance. Meanwhile, the chipset employs cortex-A73 core clocked at 2.2GHz and 1.7GHz cortex A-53 core to offer decent CPU performance. Out of the box, Huawei Mate 20 Lite will run Android OS 8.1 based on EMUI 8.1 prior to the arrival of Android Pie.
Storage
Huawei Mate 20 Lite packs a decent memory to store all your files. It comes with a 64GB internal memory expandable with a micro SD card to achieve up to 256GB. That’s more than enough space to store 1000+ pictures, video, apps, and games.
Camera
While some brands are going three at the back (Oppo R17 Pro), Huawei Mate 20 Lite has evenly distributed the sensors. On the rear arrangement is a dual 20MP f/1.8 aperture sensor. It features Phase Detection autofocus and can focus on 22 scenes with the aid of AI. Coupled to the main shooter for depth effect is a 2MP snapper for portrait mood with LED flash, wide angle and HDR onboard.
On the front notch is also a dual 24MP selfie shooter accompanied by a 2MP sub sensor. AI is there to optimize backgrounds and automatically optimized your focus for a better effect while featuring HDR and can record 1080p@30fps video

Fast becoming a tradition is the fingerprint identification scanner. For Huawei Mate, 20 Lite, is a rear mounted 0.1s to trigger scanner designed to offer you the best security experience. It also serves other function during photo shooting and pausing/resuming your music or videos.

The 3750mAh battery coupled with a power efficient Kirin 710 chip will deliver an extra day power. It charges through USB-C port while supporting fast charge technology (18W) for quick refilling of the cells.
