The latest Redmi Note 9S Global stable update is now live. The update started arriving earlier today with a version number MIUI 11.0.6.0 QJWMIXM. It’s commendable the support Xiaomi has given to it’s latest Note 9 series device, which has received multiple updates in the last couple of days.
This new update is coming with an April Android security patch. It’s basically a security patch update, but it also comes with bug fixes and system optimization. Below is the complete Changelog of the latest Redmi Note 9s Global stable update.
Latest Redmi Note 9S Global stable update (MIUI 11.0.6.0 QJWMIXM) Changelog
System
- Updated Android Security Patch level to April 2020
- Increased System security
Others
- Optimization: issues with the display
Besides the changes that appeared on the Changelog, we were not able to get additional feedback from users who already hopped on the update. But considering what we have on the changelog, and coupled with the fact that there hasn’t been a report of any serious issue with the MIUI ROMs on Redmi Note 9S, you should go ahead and download the update when prompted.
Meanwhile, as usual, the update is arriving at random and will take time before getting to all compatible devices ( running the latest and official MIUI ROM). Although we recommend updating your device through the updater app, we have added a link so you can manually download and flash at your own risk.
Depending on your current MIUI ROM version, you might need to have the bootloader unlocked. This guide here teaches you everything that concerns how to unlock the bootloader. Also, you can learn how to flash MIUI ROM here: Recovery / Fastboot.
