Latest update MIUI 9.6.3.0 NEGCNFD has started arriving on Redmi 5 Plus

While most Xiaomi Redmi phones have been receiving the MIUI 10 update, Redmi 5 Plus last update was on July 7 – MIUI 9.6.2.0 NEGCFND. Amid rumors that the device will receive the MIUI 10 soon, it seems the Chinese company has forgotten the 5 Plus as it’s barely 1 month since the last update. But that shouldn’t take away the fact that Xiaomi since the official unveiling of the device has given maximum support by rolling out prompt updates.

However, the device has started receiving latest update MIUI 9.6.3.0 NEGCNFD in the bid to calm the nerves of the users down prior to the arrival of MIUI 10 update. According to rumors, the update is delayed to check the system stability of the device before the update finally starts rolling out and we expect it to be anytime soon.

The latest update MIUI 9.6.3.0 NEGCNFD is currently hitting Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus still running the official Chinese ROM weighing about 112MB. Along with the update is improved system stability and optimized system performance. The update also boosts the security patch to 2018/7/01.
