latest update: Redmi 5 plus starts receiving MIUI 10.3.1.0 OEGCNXM Stable

Xiaomi is currently pushing out a new update to Redmi 5 Plus, coming with a version number MIUI 10.3.1.0 OEGCNXM. The update is coming weeks after the MIUI 10.2.4.0 was released. Unfortunately, it fails to arrive with Dark Mode feature already on POCO F1 and other Xiaomi device.

As usual, the update comes with many bug fixes while also introducing some new features. The most notable new feature is the Game speed booster which was introduced to Beta Users with the release of Beta ROM 9.3.21. Apps lock now support Face unlock to provide extra protection in securing your data and a new Animation for cloudy and smoggy weather.

App lock (New)

• Apps now support face unlock

Lock screen, status bar, Notification shade ( Optimization)

• The height of status bar is now equal to the height of the notch

Clock (Fix)

• Timer button started flashing being tapped
• Clock force close on some specific dates

Calculator (Fix)

• When MI AI was, Calculator crashed in some cases

Weather (New)

• Animation for cloudy and smoggy weather
• Issues relating to big text size and screen resolution has been optimized.

Settings (Optimization)

• The Apps section of the settings got a structural revamp
• Fix for icons not displaying correctly after adjusting fonts

Game speed booster ( New)

• Floating windows for incoming calls during games

Meanwhile, Redmi 5 Plus still running official Chinese ROM are receiving the stable update and if you’re lucky to be using one, then quickly navigate to updater app. You can do that by going through setting >> My device >> MIUI, and from there scan for MIUI 10.3.1.0 Stable.
