Latest update: Xiaomi MI Lite receiving MIUI 10.2.1.0 PDTCNXM based on Android 9

Xiaomi officially released the MI 8 Lite around September last year, running Android O out of the box. Barely months after the release the company started recruiting Beta Team to test Android 9 and now the update has started rolling out. The update is coming with a version number, MIUI 10.2.1.0 PDTCNXM stable and weighs about 2.0GB.

Unfortunately, it seems the update is currently rolling out to those devices still running official Chinese ROM. Therefore, if you’re an MI 8 Lite user and still on official Chinese ROM, then navigate to your updater app and scan for the MIUI 10.2.1.0 PDTCNXM stable update.

However, you can download the update here and remember to back up your data before flashing. Also, before upgrading to MIUI 10.2.1.0 PDTCNXM stable, make sure you know your way around flashing via TWRP or Mi Flash tool.

Specs wise: Xiaomi MI 8 lite debuted with 6.26-inch IPS LCD display of 1080 x 2280 px resolution. It has a dual rear camera arrangement of 12MP paired with Bokeh effect lens of 5MP. The front camera has a massive 24MP shooter with AI to enable portraits.
