MIUI 11.0.4.0 PFGMIXM starts arriving on Redmi Note 7

The long-awaited MIUI 11 is now available for download on Redmi Note 7. The device is the latest on Redmi 7– series to receive the update, haven debuted running MIUI 10 based on Android 10. Unfortunately, the update, which is arriving with a build number MIUI 11.0.4.0 PFGMIXM Global stable, is still based on Android 9.

The update is not different from what arrived on other device, so expect a similar changelog. But while other Xiaomi phones are seeing their Security Patch Level updated to October, the Stable update leaves Redmi Note 7 Patch Level in November. Between, that’s the only difference with other updates that have arrived so far, but below is the full Changelog.

Comprehensive design optimized for full-screen display

This feature is obviously for 18:9 aspect ratio panel phones and beyond. Xiaomi achieved this by removing visual clutter, improving touch control, and refining colors.

Note: the app icon after the update got bigger. To reduce it go to Settings> Additional Settings> Accessibility> Display Size, and adjust from there.

Sound of Nature

The alarm tone dynamically changes with nature. More alarm tones are added to the sounds to suit your condition as regards the weather.

Mi Share

This feature allows the sharing of files between Xiaomi phones in a fraction of seconds. There’s also Mi Move, which lets you swiftly move files from an old Xiaomi phone to a new one.

Documents

The new Mi Doc Viewer allows you to preview your documents before opening them, which helps you to stay productive and efficient.

Printing

With your Redmi Note 7, you can print photos and files directly from your phone without installing additional files, bit only after flashing the MIUI 11.0.4.0 PGFMIXM update.

Lockscreen, status bar, Notification Shade

There’s a different option for hiding the notch. Also, use your fingerprint to open home screen once you unlocked the device using face data and stayed on the screen

System

The update pushed the Android Security Patch to November, increased system security. The lock screen pocket mode received some optimization while a new editing button is now on screenshots.

Setting

The update fixed the bug on Wi-Fi pages not displaying correctly.

Other features

The new game turbo turns your device into an ultimate gaming console. You can now reply text faster from any app and manage, edit your task in the Note app.

The update is arriving through OTA, meaning its likely to experience delays before going round. Download and install if the update is there, otherwise wait some time.
