MIUI 12.5 now available in Europe for Mi 10 Lite 5G
Xiaomi has already sent the MIUI 12.5 update to a bunch of eligible users and is now focused on extending the rollout to more regions. The Mi 10 Lite received the update late last month, globally, and now, it has started rolling out for the European models. But as usual, the update is on a limited rollout to enable beta testers to preview it for bugs before becoming available for a wider population.
The MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 10 Lite in Europe is finally here on a limited rollout and will take a couple of days for the preview before it appears on all eligible units. The update will arrive as MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJIEUXM in a 1.1GB package. It brings, as anticipated, the features of the new MIUI OS, which are essentially optimization to improve system performance. And while responses to gestures are now instant, you’re still stuck with the MIUI system launcher. That’s because the MIUI 12.5 update didn’t address the compatibility issues with third-party launchers introduced by the Android 11 update.
Nevertheless, the system performance has improved while the Android security patch level has been pushed to May 2021 to increase system security and stability.
