New Global Redmi Note 8T update released ahead of Android 11 upgrade
There’s no doubt now about the Redmi Note 8 Android 11 update plans as the device already bagged its first Android 11 build. Hence the Redmi Note 8T will also receive the Android 11 update, but while the update is expected to arrive later, a new global Redmi Note 8T update has been released.
The update already arrived for those in Europe, and it brings the January 2021 security patch. It improved system security and fixed bugs. Now the global models and those in Russia are currently receiving the same update, but with a different build number. It is arriving as MIUI 12.0.2.0 QCXMIXM for the global ROM users, while the Russian models are getting a MIUI 12.0.3.0 QCXRUXM.

However, you might get an error, and that should be because only selected users are supposed to receive the update. When that happens, give it some days or wait for the OTA.
