Redmi Note 5 Pro starts receiving a new stable update globally

It has been months since the Redmi Note 5 Pro last received the monthly security fix. The last update that was rolled out to the device was in November last year, to be exact. A couple of days ago, amid the arrival of the MIUI 12 update, Xiaomi released a stable update to the Note 5 globally. It’s probably to prepare the device for a seamless transition to MIUI 12, which was expected for Note 5 Pro as well.
And now, a new global stable update for the Redmi Note 5 Pro has been released. The update is currently arriving for limited users with a version number, MIUI 11.0.5.0 PEIMIXM, and weighs in at 522MB. It’s a monthly security fix update that brings the August security patch. Also, it improved system performance as well as fixed some bugs.
Progressively, the update will appear on more devices, but you can follow the download link below and get the update. As for when the MIUI 12 update will start arriving for Redmi Note 5 Pro, there’s currently no ETA. However, reports have it that the device is in the third phase of the rollout, which is ready underway.
Having said that, you should download the new global stable update for the Redmi Note 5 Pro to prepare your device for a seamless transition from MIUI 11 to MIUI 12. Head over to the Updater App and scan for the new update or follow the download link below to download manually.
