Xiaomi has released a new Mi 8 Global Beta Stable update. The update is hitting the global units with a build number MIUI 11.0.4.0 QEAMIXM. It’s coming along with updated Android Security Patch, bug fixes, and system optimization.
The update is arriving at Random, specifically for Beta Team members, Mi pilots, and users running official Global Beta stable ROM. You should be able to receive the update through the updater app via OTA. Also, the update is a staged rollout and will take some time before getting to compatible devices. However, you can manually check for an update by going to Settings> My Device> MIUI version> Scan for Updates.
According to the user in the Mi community forum, the new Mi 8 Global Beta Stable update is “nice and smooth” With that, we believe the update is safe, at least free from performance threatening bugs. We advise you to go ahead and download the update when prompted, or it might be pulled. Once the update is pulled, the next time you’d get a notification is when the public rollout starts.
Meanwhile, in the absence of any serious issue, the update will start arriving for the public in a couple of days. However, you can still check for a new update through your Updater app and see if you have got anything there. A Quick specs overview of the device, Xiaomi debuted Mi 8 in 2018 with a 6.2-inch display, running Snapdragon 845 Octa-Core processor. The device outside-of-the-box runs Android 8.1 Oreo but has since upgraded to Android Pie and Android 10.
