Before the May 19 event, which saw the MIUI 12 unveiled globally, Xiaomi was already recruiting Beta Teams that will test the new Custom Android skin. During the global unveiling, Beta Testers and Mi Pilot were said to get the update this week. Xiaomi sticking to their word has now released a new Mi 9T Global Beta Stable update.
The new Mi 9T Global Beta Stable update is arriving with a build number – MIUI 12.0.0.11 QFJMIXM- and weighs in at 655MB. The update officially brings MIUI 12 to the device, but on the Changelog, there are only two changes. Below is the changelog.
New MI 9T Global Beta Stable update Changelog
Others
- Optimization: Increased System stability
- Optimization: Reduced System lag
Aside from the changes that appeared on the changelog, there are lots of other improvements and new features. The UI has been revamped, the control panel now looks different compared to MIUI 11, new floating window, and some new camera modes.
The update, as usual, is arriving in batches and will take some time to get all Beta teams. Thus, if you registered for MIUI 12 Beta testing, and haven’t got a notification for a new update, it’s recommended you manually scan for an update.
Meanwhile, last year’s Xiaomi flagship phone – Mi 9 is also receiving the Beta update alongside the Mi 9T Pro. Unfortunately, it’s only beta testers that are getting the update. The general public is expected to start getting the update from next month, so if everything goes as planned, they’ll receive the update just in time.
Nevertheless, the update is safe, but we don’t know how stable it is at the moment. We’ll update this post once we get more information and also add the download link for those who would like to flash manually.
