New Redmi Note 8 update in Europe released for everyone ahead of Android 11 upgrade

Xiaomi only finalized the MIUI 12-based Android 10 rollout for the Redmi Note 8 a few days ago. The update arrived for those global users who couldn’t update their phones due to bugs. However, all that is now sorted as we anticipate the arrival of the Android 11 update, which is currently under closed beta test in China.

Meanwhile, those in Europe are receiving a new Redmi Note 8 update. It’s the same update that arrived for the global ROM users a few days ago but could only push the Android security patch level to November 2020. The version is MIUI 12.0.3.0 QCOEUXM and has been released for everyone. But as usual, it might take some time before you get a prompt notification for the update. And if you decide to flash the ROM manually, there’s a link below this post that’ll help with it.

.

You should be able to successfully flash the ROM since it has been released for everyone, using the Recovery method. However, you should back up your data to a safe location before installing the update in case of data loss.

As for the Android 11 update, it’s currently under testing in China. You can also download and flash the ROM if you have a compatible TWRP Recovery flashed on your device. Again, make sure you have your backup before attempting to side-load the ROM. Meanwhile, it is unclear when the stable ROM users will get the update, but it’s likely in April. That’s when the stable MIUI 12.5 update will start rolling out and will arrive alongside Android 11 for the Redmi Note 8 user.
