Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro gets the October security patch along with system optimization

According to a report that surfaced on the web yesterday, the Xiaomi Mi T series are eligible for two Android upgrades and four MIUI upgrades. Of course, that includes maximum monthly security support with the device now receiving that of October with system optimization.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro already has a successor, which is the Mi 10T Pro. It was released last month and has already made it to some markets across Europe and India. That hasn’t in any way affected the Mi 9T Pro in terms of support. According to reports, the October security patch update for the Mi 9T Pro is now available. 

The update is arriving for both EEA and Global users. If you’re on the global branch of MIUI, you’ll receive an update with a build number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QFKMIXM, and MIUI 12.0.3.0 QFKEUXM for the EEA users. It’s a 419MB package and will progressively arrive on all eligible users over the next few days. 

On the changelog is “optimized system performance and improved system security and stability.” It has also fixed some minor bugs that were introduced by the MIUI 12 update. Currently, only selected users are receiving the October security patch update for the Mi 9T Pro, which will be made public very soon.
