Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro starts receiving stable MIUI 12 in India.
It has been a busy week for Xiaomi as they swiftly roll out the stable MIUI 12 update to the diet wave of the device globally. The company is currently on the final stage of the first deployment, with the second phase expected to kick-start this month.
The final phase of the first rollout means the update is now arriving for everyone, and the latest device to start receiving the update is the Redmi K20 Pro in India. It started arriving this morning and should have made it to all compatible phones ( running the latest and official MIUI ROM). Also, you can manually check for the update by heading to the updater.
Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 Pro Stable MIUI 12 update is arriving with a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QFKINXM, and weighs in at 2.3GB. Aside from introducing all the amazing features of MIUI 12, which includes Revamped System Animation, New System UI, Floating Windows, New Camera functions, Enhanced Security, Dark mode 2.0, and AI Smart Calling. The update also bumps the Android Security patch level to June, improving the system security while fixing some minor bugs.
Thus far, no issue has been reported, but the issue with Google Pay is yet to be solved. It would be good to avoid the update, at least for now, if you frequently make use of Google Pay.
