Redmi K30 Pro Android 12 and MIUI 13 upgrade has been released

Xiaomi has now commenced the second wave of its Android 12-based MIUI 13 deployment. After completing the first rollout, the company announced it would start the second phase immediately. That has seen the update arrive on Redmi K30S Ultra, and it seems the Redmi K30 Pro is receiving the build as well. Of course, that would make the POCO F2 Pro users excited as the device will soon get the update.

Like the Redmi K40 and POCO F3, Redmi K30 Pro is the Chinese version of the POCO F2 Pro. Hence, both phones share the same development and build, only that one runs Chinese ROM while the other comes pre-installed with global ROM. However, once a major update starts seeding for the Chinese variants, it usually means that the global models are two weeks away from getting the same treatment. Perhaps, we would experience that as Redmi K30 Pro Android 12 and MIUI 13 upgrade go live in China.

The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 13.0.1.0 SJKCNXM and weighs in at 4.2GB. As expected, it has pushed the Android OS to version 12 while the Android security patch level has been improved to increase system security and stability. Also, there have been a few additions – new MiSan Font, Widgets, Wallpapers, Control center, and improved security features. The update has improved system performance and you can check the complete changes here.

Meanwhile, the Redmi K30 Pro Android 12 and MIUI 13 upgrade is limited to Chinese users. We anticipate the global deployment in the coming days, and we recommend following our tracker page to know when the update becomes available.
