Xiaomi surprised everyone when it released three phones instead of the usual two in the Redmi K40 series lineup. The Redmi K40 Pro Plus is more sophisticated, given the primary 108MP shooter paired with two additional sensors. Redmi K40 and K40 Pro also have a triple arrangement, while the design and other features except the primary sensor are the same across the board.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has just released the first Redmi K40 series stable update. The update is currently hitting the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro, while that of the Pro Plus is yet to start seeding. On the vanilla version (Redmi K40), the update comes as MIUI 12.0.5.0 RKHCNXM. It is based on Android 11 and has optimized system performance, security, and stability. The K40 Pro is also getting a new update, but with a version number – MIUI 12.0.3.0 RKKCNXM. You can download the build below and all the Redmi K40 series stable updates.

How to flash Redmi K40 series stable update manually

First, download the Recovery ROM and move it to the phone’s internal memory. Head over to the updater app (system updates) and click on the three dots at the top right. Click choose update package and select the ROM that you downloaded. If you don’t see “Choose Update Package,” follow this link and learn how to show it. Once you select the ROM, the system will verify it, and after that, the flashing will start.
